Baptism

For many, baptism is the first public step of obedience as a follower of Christ Jesus. Baptism is for the person who has received the forgiveness of sin through the Cross of Christ and recognized the Lordship of Jesus through his resurrection.  Therefore, in obedience to Christ's command and as a testimony to God, the church, family and friends, disciples are instructed to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Water baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person's union with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection.  The Vineyard practices and teaches "believer's baptism."
Before your baptism, we offer a special class designed to answer your questions about this baptism. The class is a discussion of the biblical significance of baptism. The class also covers several frequently asked questions, all logistical details of a baptism service and gives you an opportunity to share your testimony.  If, you were baptized prior to your attendance at The Vineyard, we do NOT ask you to be baptized again, unless as a matter of conscience you recognize your baptism preceded your conversion.

If you are interested in being baptized, please contact the church office at 281-358-5933 or info@kwvineyard.com.
